Description

This promissory note, dated February 3, 1879, promises that the treasurer of the Phoenix Cooperative Association will pay J. P. Trustall eighty-two dollars and fifty-eight cents for the balance due to T. L. Darden on cotton sold for his account. The note is signed by Thomas L. Darden, the secretary and J. B. McCormick, the Chairmain of the Purchasing Committee. The seal for the Phoenix Co-Operative Association, Mississippi is imprinted on the lower right of the note.
