Description

This promissory note, dated February 13, 1879, promises that the treasurer of the Phoenix Cooperative Association will pay J. P. Trustall one hundred dollars for the balance due for the purchase of cotton. The note is signed by Thomas L. Darden, the secretary and J. B. McCormick, the Chairman of the Purchasing Committee. The seal for the Phoenix Co-Operative Association, Mississippi is imprinted on the lower left of the note and a note stating the amount has been paid on March 5, 1879.
