Description
In this letter, dated October 30, 1861, J. J. Person and Co. writes to Isaac R. Wade to inform him that they received his note. They go on to inform him that eleven "ships of war" are a the "Bar" and will have to be "smoked out." A promissory note for five hundred dollars written to J. J. Person and Co. from Isaac R. Wade is included.
