Description

In this promissory note, dated January 27, 1939, James Franklin Buchanan promises to pay O. K. Power of Kosciusko, Mississippi, four hundred twenty-four dollars and fifty cents by July 27, 1939. The promissory note states the loan is for the purchase of a 1939 V8 Ford Tudor Sedan and includes the delivered price, the motor number and other information on the vehicle. "Paid O.K. Power by Sue Davis" is written in blue in near the bottom of the note. The accompanying receipt, dated May 6, 1939, shows payments made in March and April, and is marked paid on May 6, 1939 to O. K. Power by Sue Davis.
