Description
This envelope, postmarked April 7, 1948 in Natchez, Mississippi, bears the image of Connally's Tavern in Natchez where the first U. S. flag was raised, as well as, an illustration of Governor Winthrop Sargeant and steamboat on the Mississippi River. A three cent Mississippi Territory postage stamp is in the upper right corner of the envelope.
