Description

In this letter, dated October 29, 1937, George J. Thornton writes to James Franklin "Frank" Buchanan to tease him about him feigning illness to get out of his upcoming wedding. He teases that should Buchanan try to back out of the nuptials, Attala County might march on Choctaw to defend the bride's honor. At the bottom of the letter "Joke!" is written in pencil. And envelope with a Kosciusko, Mississippi postmark and a three cent postage stamp is included.
