Description

In this letter, dated September 26, 1942, W. A. Kirkland, Assistant Director of Naval Officer Procurement in New Orleans, writes to Webster Buchanan to acknowledge the receipt of Buchanan's Naval Reserve inquiry. The letter goes on to provide instructions for applying and explains how the application process works. The letter is written on Office of Naval Officer Recruitment, New Orleans, Louisiana letterhead and there is a small tear on the top edge of the paper.
