Description

This black and white photograph shows the original placement of the Henry Clay statue on Canal Street at the intersection of St. Charles Avenue and Royal Street in New Orleans, Louisiana. A streetcar, buildings, and utility poles are seen behind the bronze statue. The statue stands on top of a tall granite base surrouned by a small fence on the round platform. The name of the statue is written in pencil beneath the image. This photograph was originally included on a scrapbook page.
