Description
This postcard features a sepia toned image of the New State Capitol Building in Jackson, Mississippi, a large, three story structure with tall columns across the front entrance and at the ends and sides of the building. A tall dome with an eagle at the top rises from the center of the building. What appears to be a dirt road curves in front of the building. The title of the card is printed below the image. The back of the card is addressed to Mr. James Spurgler in Marion County, Kentucky at St. Mary's College. The card is postmarked Jackson, Mississippi, December 5, 1905 and Saint Mary's, December 6. A green, one cent Benjamin Franklin postage stamp is placed in the upper right corner.
