Description

This postcard features a black and white image of Merchants Bank in Jackson, Mississippi, a six story building on the corner of a street. The fifth story windows are arched and dentil molding lines the building beneath the roof. Utility poles are on either side of the corner of the sidewalk in front of the bank building and people are pictured walking on the sidewalk. The title of the card is printed beneath the bottom edge of the image. Address for E. M. Rankin in Jackson, Mississippi, is written along the bottom of the card. The back of the card is addressed to Miss Gertrude De Ford in Rochester, New York. The card is postmarked in Jackson, Mississippi, November 1906 and Rochester, New York, November 2, 1906. A green, one cent Benjamin Franklin postage stamp is placed in the upper right corner and "Erie Aqueduct" is written sideways in blue ink on the left edge of the card.
