Description
This color postcard features an iron gated entrance to the Inn-By-The Sea. The entrance features a clay tile overhang, foliage, and an ornate concrete planter. The title at the bottom of the card reads "Cloistered Entrance to Sea Court--Inn-By-The-Sea, Pass Christian, Miss." The back of the postcard identifies the item as a postcard and provides publisher information. A green one cent stamp is located in the upper right corner and the card is postmarked Pass Christian, Miss. Jan. 18, 1936. The description in the upper left reads "Inn by the Sea--A delightful Inn and cottages among the pines and moss-hung live oaks, beside the emerald waters of the Gulf of Mexico, open every day in the year." The inscription reads "The Sunny South awaits you." The card is addressed to Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Kern in Indianapolis, Indiana.
