Description

This color postcard features a three story white building at the end of a long white driveway with trees up to it. The title along the top of the building identifies the building as "Gulf and Ship Island Office Building, Gulfport, Miss." The back of the postcard identifies the item as a postcard and provides indication for correspondence and address placement. A red two cent postage stamp is placed in the upper right corner and the card is postmarked Gulfport, Mississippi February 10, 1919. The card is inscribed and is addressed to Mrs. Emma Ohlwiler in Rock Island, Illinois.

Dear Gem When I get rich I intend to send mother and Dad and you down here to spend the winters. A Grand place right on the Gulf of Mexico. Oscar [sic]
