Description
This color picture postcard features an aerial view of the Bay Bridge with trees and houses seen in the foreground and clouds and land in the distance. The back of the postcard identifies the item as a postcard and provides publisher and photographer information with indication for postage stamp placement. Images of fish, pirates, a lighthouse, a cabin with trees; a confederate soldier on a horse, an antebellum home with a couple dressed in antebellum clothes, a steamboat, and men on horses are drawn in the left corner and edge. This $9,000,000 toll bridge, opened August 1, 1953, is over two miles long and connects the cities of Pass Christian and Bay St. Louis, Mississippi."
