Description

This color picture postcard features a ground test model of the Saturn V second stage (S-11) being lifted onto a captive test stand at the Mississippi Test Operations facility in Hancock County, Mississippi. "MTO" is typed in the upper right corner. The back of the postcard identifies the item as a postcard and provides publisher information as well as indication for postage stamp and address placement. The description in the upper left corner reads "A ground test model of the Saturn V second stage (S-11) is lifted into a recently completed captive test stand at the Mississippi Test Operations in Hancock County, Miss. The NASA-Marshall Space Flight Center's Mississippi Test Operations will be used for captive firing the S-11 flight stages. Ground test stage was manufactured to test out S-11 systems and the ground test facilities."
