Description

This color postcard features a color depiction of a home overlooking the Jourdan River. A woman in a green dress is standing among the picturesque gardens, The home is a long one story structure with white clapboard siding and blue shudders. The title at the bottom of the card reads "Darwood on the Jourdan". The back of the postcard identifies the item as a postcard and provides publisher information as well as indication for postage stamp and address placement. The description in the upper left corner reads "Darwood on the Jourdan--Lovely home and gardens overlooking picturesque Jourdan River from its South bank. Darwood is 60 miles East of New Orleans." Directions for the home are at the bottom left corner of the card.
