Description
This color picture postcard features an evening photo of the S-II test stand with the S-II-T inside. The full moon is seen in the upper left of the test stand. The back of the postcard identifies the item as a postcard and provides publisher information as well as indication for correspondence and address placement. The description in the upper left reads "Bay St. Louis, Miss. From one of the man-made canals that crawl seven and a half miles inside the NASA Mississippi Test Facility, a completed S-11 test stand keeps a silent vigil. The S-II-T, all system test version of the S-II, second stage of the Saturn V space exploration vehicle, waits in the stand. The S-II-T was the first rocket stage test fired at MTF.
