This color postcard features sailboats on the water. The title in the upper left reads "The Start, Waveland, Miss." The back of the postcard identifies the item as a postcard. A green one cent postage stamp is placed in the upper right corner and the card is postmarked twice--once for Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, July 27, 1911 and once for an illegible place July [day partially missing] 1911. The card is inscribed and is addressed to Miss Marcelle Landry in Louisiana. The address is partially marked out and replaced illegibly.

Waveland, Miss. July 27, '11 Dear Marcelle, Write to me by return mail, and let me know if you can come over Sunday on excursion. Do not disappoint me. Saw "Bob" yesterday evening. My love to you all. An ocean of love and a kiss on each nose. [?] From 'Edna Rental.
