Description
This color postcard features a sunset over the gulf water with a pier, live oaks and a dirt road in the foreground. An inscription is written across the top, right, and bottom edges. The title beneath the image reads "Sunset, East Gulfport Beach, Miss." The back of the postcard identifies the item as a postcard and provides indication for postage stamp placement. The card is postmarked Mississippi City, Mississippi, March 1906 and is addressed to Mr. Orville Lance in Somerville, New Jersey.
Transcription
Drive between Mississippi City and Gulfport. Been over it many times. Bath houses are at end of pier. Trees are live oaks all carry good tune. I return to N.O. Tuesday--all well send love to M.H. here for the day.
