Description

This color postcard features a bridge overwater. Bushes and threes are on the bank of the water at the entrance of the bridge. The title in the upper right reads "Back Bay Bridge, Biloxi, Miss." The back of the postcard identifies the item as a postcard and provides indication for correspondence and address placement. A green one cent postage stamp is placed in the upper right corner and the card is postmarked Biloxi, Mississippi, August 1, 1913. The card is inscribed and is addressed to Mrs. John Goeller.

Transcription

Biloxi has been real lively the last 10 days. We had about 1500 soldier boys here. Business was quite good but it's slow today. I go across this bridge in a minute and half. Ma said I look like a bird skimming the bridge.
