Description

This black and white postcard features three sailboats anchored in a harbor with pier houses and beach houses on the coastline in the distance. The title along the bottom of the card reads "16~Pass Christian, Miss." and names the publisher beneath it. An inscription is handwritten in the white space beneath the title and along the right side. The back of the postcard identifies the item as a postcard and provides indication for correspondence and address placement. A green one cent postage stamp is placed in the upper right corner and the card is postmarked Pass Christian, Mississippi, September 28, 1908. The card is inscribed and is addressed to Dr. J. D. Williams in Shelbyville, Kentucky.

I am just reveling in the cold of all we are having. Your cards rec'd yesterday. Mr. and Mrs. W[?] here last night. She says she has lost 20lbs. 9.28--08 I wish I could gain that much. The gallows lead the neck, much [?] request. As ever, Mr. L. G.
