Description

This black and white postcard features a view of a four or five story building, identified by the donor as the Great Southern Hotel near the coastline with the Gulfport Pier in view. A streetcar is visible on the right side of the car. "Gulfport, Miss." is titled beneath the image of the hotel and "3083 Gulfport Pier" is titled beneath the pier and streetcar view on the right. A handwritten inscription, not in English, is in the white space at the bottom of the card. Manufacturing information is in the lower left corner. The back of the postcard identifies the item as a postcard and provides indication for address placement. A green one cent postage stamp is placed sideways in the upper right corner and the card is postmarked Gulfport, Mississippi, February 2, 1907. The card is addressed to Nathalia Nielsen in Brooklyn, New York.
