This color postcard features fountains and lawn with a three story building in the distance. People are standing on the sidewalks on the lawn. The title along the bottom identifies the scene as "Great Southern Hotel Lawn, Gulfport, Miss." The back of the postcard identifies the item as a postcard and provides publisher information as well as indication for correspondence and address placement. A green one cent postage stamp is placed in the upper right corner and the card is postmarked Gulfport, Mississippi, May 28, 1908. The card is inscribed and is addressed to Miss Ethel Massengale in Atlanta, Georgia.

This does not show the beauty of the grounds very faithfully, but suggests the pretty place as it really is. W. H.
