This postcard features a color illustration of a butterfly with images from around Gulfport, Mississippi within the wings. A woman is depicted in the center of the butterfly and the title of the card is printed above the woman. The images within the wings are, clockwise from left, Great Southern Hotel, Northrop's Department Store, English F F Maltby at Gulfport, and Office Building G. and S. I. R. R. Co. The wings behind the images are in hues of orange, yellow, blue, and red. The back of the card is addressed to Mr. Mack Robinson in New Orleans, Louisiana. the card is postmarked Gulfport, Miss., 1908 and a green, one cent Benjamin Franklin postage stamp is placed in the upper right corner of the card. An inscription is written on the left half of the card. [see transcription field]
