This postcard features a black and white image of the small craft basin or harbor at Gulfport, Mississippi. Small boats and yachts are seen docked along the shoreline with an expanse of water in the foreground. A postmark for Florence, Mississippi, July 1909 is stamped int the right center of the image. The title of the card is printed along the bottom center of the image. The publisher is printed in the lower left corner. The back of the postcard is addressed to Miss Katherine Suttle in Florence, Mississippi. The card is postmarked Gulfport, Mississippi, July 9, 1909 and a green, one cent Benjamin Franklin postage stamp is in the upper right corner. An inscription is written sideways on the left half of the card. [see transcription field]
Hello Miss Katherine Am enjoying my visit so much--like the coast just fine. Am going home the last of next week. Saw Ora and her man Sunday like his look fine. Ora's brother has been out see me twice. Winnie [sic]
