Description

This postcard features a color illustration of an aerial view of Gulfport, Mississippi. Buildings, trees, trees, piers, and a flag are pictured with a view of the water beyond. The title of the card is printed along the top left of the image. The back of the card is addressed to Mrs. Judy Greaves in Marshfield, Oregon. The card is postmarked Gulfport, Miss., April 24, 1943 and a green "Industry Agriculture Defense" postage stamp is placed in the upper right corner. There are torn spots in all four corners. An inscription is written on the left half of the card. [see transcription field]

[Dear] Pal: Never thought I'd get this far south. Is it ever beautiful down here. I doubt very much now if I will get to Calif. [?] Write soon [tell everyone] hello as ever Kathleen [sic]
