This postcard features a color illustration of the New Magnolia Hotel in Pass Christian, Mississippi, a white, three story building with a long, covered front porch, and a rounded tower on the left side of the building at the end of the porch. People are depicted on the front steps and trees are depicted in front of and behind the hotel. The title of the card is printed in the lower right corner of the card. The back of the card is addressed to Mrs. S. W. Rouff in New Orleans, Louisiana. The card is postmarked Pass Christian, Miss., September 22 19[??] and a green, one cent Benjamin Franklin postage stamp is placed in the upper right corner. A transcription is written sideways on the left half of the card. [see transcription field]

Transcription

Dear friend--Only a few lines to let you know our stay over here is soon coming to a close. We leave for the city October 2nd We had a nice time, however we had our discomfort with the hot weather which has been very warm over here and the miserable mosquitoes. Driving along the beach was one of our principal enjoyments every eve. Bathing is fine. We enjoyed two trips with Auto to Biloxi and a few too Gulfport. Hoping you are well also Nettie is feeling better With love from yours sincerly Marg [sic]
