Description

This postcard features a color illustration of the city water tower and the Louisville and Nashville Railroad yards in Biloxi, Mississippi. The water tower is to the left of the railroad tracks near a pink building with trees beside it. A train is depicted in the distance on the tracks with smoke billowing from the smoke stack. other buildings are to the right of tracks and a sign in the foreground reads "Yard Limit". The title of the card is printed near the upper right of the image and the date, 9/29/07 is written at the center of the top edge. The back of the card is addressed to Master and Mrs. Hanson in Chicago, Illinois. The card is postmarked Biloxi, Miss, September 9, 1907 and a green, one cent Captain John Smith postage stamp is placed in the upper right corner. An inscription is written sideways on the left half of the card. [see transcription field]
