Description

This color postcard features the courtyard view of the ivy covered Hotel Reed. The courtyard features tables with umbrellas and chairs as well as an Adirondack chair. An early 20th century car is depicted beneath the portico. The title at the bottom of the card reads "Hotel Reed on Old Spanish Trail (U.S. 90), Bay St. Louis, Miss." The back of the postcard identifies the item as a postcard and provides publisher information as well as indication for postage stamp placement. The description in the upper left corner reads, "Hotel Reed; Noted for Delicious Food; Overlooking the Bay--on U. S. Highway 90; Modern--Fireproof--50 Rooms--50 Baths; Bay St. Louis, Mississippi; Fisherman's Paradise; AAA--AHA".
