Description

This postcard features a color illustration of the City Hall in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, a two story building with a second story entrance flanked by tall, white stairs. A cupola is in the center of the roof, "City Hall 1905" is lettered across the front gable, and the second story balcony is lined with four white columns and a web style porch railing. People are depicted standing on the balcony, the steps and leaned against the brick, ground floor columns. Threes are depicted on either side of the building. The title of the card is printed in the upper right of the card. The back of the card is addressed to Mrs. Helen Schulz in Louisville, Kentucky. The postmark is too faded to fully read, though the year, 1910 is visible. A green, one cent Benjamin Franklin postage stamp is placed in the upper right and updated mailing instructions are stamped in purple ink on the center and upper right of the card. An inscription is written on the left half of the card. [see transcription field]

Dear Mother, We leave here Sat eve after a lovely 2 weeks trip. We certainly have had a grand time fishing, bathing, rowing. Did you get my last postal [?] are you all? Wirte soon With Love [?] [sic]
