Description

This black and white picture postcard features people playing in the water and sand at the beach. The title along the bottom of the card reads "Greetings from WAVELAND, Miss." The back of postcard identifies the item as a postcard. A green one cent postage stamp is placed in the top right corner and the card is postmarked Bay St. Louis, Miss. July 13, 1928. The card is inscribed in pencil and is addressed to Mrs. G. Velten in New Orleans, La. "No. 2247, 16 des. Photo Brown Bathers is typed on the left edge of the card.

Transcription

Hallow [sic] Georgia, Wish you could come over a few days and be with us all. We are having a real fine time [?], crabbing, and [?]. Also fighting mosquitos at night. The nights are nice and cool [?] me to the Monday night class. Love Julia [sic]
