Description

This color picture postcard features the NASA S-II-T being lowered into the test stand at NASA's Mississippi test facility in Hancock County, Mississippi. The back of the postcard featuring the S-II-T identifies the item as a postcard and provides publisher information as well as indication for correspondence and address placement. The description in the upper left reads "Bay St. Louis, Miss.--The all-system test model of the S-II (second stage of the Saturn V space vehicle), known as the S-II-T, is lowered into its test stand at NASA's Mississippi Test Facility in Hancock County, Mississippi, where it was first static fired April 23, 1966. From Mississippi, the S-II flight stages will be shipped by barge to Cape Kennedy, Florida for launch. Official NASA Photo."
