Description

This postcard features a color illustration of the Carnegie Public Library in Meridian, Mississippi, a red brick, two story building with white trim, arched windows and an arched entrance on the bottom floor. Colorful flower beds are depicted in front of the library on either side of the entrance and trees line the green patch between the sidewalk and the street to the left of the library. The title of the card is printed along the top edge of the card. A brief paragraph about the library is printed in the upper left corner on the back that reads "The Carnegie Public Library is of brick veneer construction. It is located on the same block as the City Hall and contains 49,946 volumes which are available for use by the citizens of the city."
