Description

This postcard features a color image of the Philadelphia Indian Hospital in Philadelphia, Mississippi, a one story, brick building with large windows in front and a three section hip roof. The name of the hospital is lettered in white on the front picture window. A United States flag flies from a tall flagpole at the sidewalk in front of the entrance. People are pictured walking toward the entrance door. The side of a van is seen on the right edge of the image. A line about the hospital is printed in the upper left on the back of the card that reads, "Philadelphia Indian Hospital Philadelphia, Mississippi Operated for the welfare of the local Choctaw Indians."
