Description
This color postcard features bales of cotton under a covered area outside. The wood posts of the structure are visible throughout. The title along the bottom right identifies the image as "Citizens Compress Co. (Showing 12,000 Bales of Cotton) Meridian, Miss." The back of the postcard identifies the item as a postcard and provides publisher information as well as indication for correspondence and address placement. A green one cent postage stamp is placed in the upper right corner and the card is postmarked Meridian, Mississippi, June 25, 1913. The card is inscribed and is addressed to Mr. G. W. Furbay in Carlington, Ohio.

2911-5th St Meridian Miss. Say--how do you like the idea and the changes that are to take place at the College? For instance, the boys having their Science Hall of the higher classes combined. Mr. Hunter says he eats at a table with 11 girls. [?] Am glad you are enjoying your vacation. Martha L.
