Description

This color postcard features a street with buildings on either side and a large five story building at the far end. A water tower can be seen behind the far building. On the right is Doughties Furniture. Early twentieth century cars are parked on the left side of the street and people are on the sidewalks. The title in the top center reads "22nd Avenue, Looking South, Meridian, Miss." The back of the postcard identifies the item as a postcard and provides publisher information. A green one cent postage stamp is placed in the upper right corner and the card is postmarked Meridian, Mississippi, February 9, 1914. The card is inscribed and is addressed to Miss Anna Collins in Eddystone, Pennsylvania.

Dear Sister, We arrived here last night things are blue here too to. We are going to ship out on a railroad job to Birmingham Ala [sic]
