Description

This sepia toned picture postcard features a colonial style two story house with two story tall white columns surrounding the perimeter. A tall tree stands on the right corner of the house and other trees are seen behind the house. Bushes and other landscaping are along the edges of the house. The house sits up on a hill surrounded by sidewalks and steps leading up to the house. The title in the upper let corner identifies the house as the "Colonial Residence of J. H. Kennebrew, North Highlands, Columbus, Miss." Some damage appears just below the title. The lower left corner identifies Divelbiss Book Store." The back of the photograph identifies the item as a postcard and provides publisher information as well as indication for correspondence and address placement. A short biography of J. H. Kennebrew is handwritten across the length of the postcard. No postage, postmark, or address is included.
