Description

This color postcard features a street with buildings on either side. Horse-drawn wagons and buggies are seen on the street, as well as people crossing the street and walking the sidewalks. The famous street car line of Columbus, built in 1906, can be seen ending in the distance at a street intersection, with a street car/trolley visible on the line. The title along the top identifies the scene as "Columbus, Miss. Market Street looking North." The back of the postcard identifies the item as a postcard printed in Germany as part of the PCK Series and provides import information as well as indication for communications, address, and postage stamp placement.
