Description
This color postcard features a four story hotel with a tall, wide entrance in the middle. Horse drawn carriages are in front of the hotel. The title in the bottom center reads "Hotel Gilmer, Columbus, Miss." The back of the postcard identifies the item as a postcard and provides artist information as well as indication for address placement. A green one cent postage stamp is placed in the upper right corner and the card is postmarked "Montgomery and Artesia R. P. O, October 14, 1908. The card is inscribed and is addressed to Miss Bessie Strickland in Coffeeville, Kansas.

Was glad to get your cards when I go to the city will send you some pretty ones--am going to write that letter soon--how are you all--remember me to all of the family--your friend. J. M. M. [sic]
