Description
This black and white postcard features a man in dark clothes and a hat on horseback. The title along the bottom of the card identifies the images as "Chas. Scott, The Farmer’s Candidate for the Governor of Mississippi on his Horse-Back Ride through the State." A postmark for Union, Mississippi, June 27, 1907 is in the upper left of the card. The back of the postcard identifies the item as a postcard and provides indication for correspondence, postmark, address, and postage stamp placement. The card does not have a postage stamp. The card is postmarked twice. The first postmark is in the space marked for postmarks, Meridian, Mississippi, June 24, 1907 and the second postmark is on the left side of the card for Battlefield, Mississippi June, 26, 1907. The card is inscribed and is addressed to A. J. Lee in Lauderdale County, Mississippi.
