Description

This black and white picture postcard features a crowd of people gathered around an in-ground swimming pool with several poles lining the pool. People are swimming in the pool and some people standing on the two different levels of the diving platform. The United States flag flies from a flagpole on the right. Buildings are to the right and the distant left of the pool. The title in the upper right reads "Municipal Swimming Pool, West Point, Miss." The back of the postcard identifies the item as a postcard and provides publisher information. A green one cent postage stamp is placed in the upper right corner and the card is postmarked West Point, Mississippi, September 9, 1946. The card is inscribed and is addressed to Miss Gwendolyn Harrington in Des Moines, Iowa.
