Description

This black and white picture postcard features a two story hotel with a porch and balcony along the front, lined with white railing and posts. Bare trees are in front of the house and a sidewalk leads up to the hotel. The title on the side of the card identifies it as "Cochran Hotel, Ackerman, Mississippi, L. H. Stubblefield." An inscription is below the title. The back of the postcard identifies the item as postcard and provides publisher information. A green one cent postage stamp is placed in the upper right corner and the card is postmarked Ackerman, Mississippi, August 27, 1907. The card is inscribed and is addressed to Mrs. Emma McDonald.

[back of the postcard] Have been here two days. DA [back of the postcard] Have not forgotten you will see you about Sept. 22--Am working my way South now. Writ me to Enterprise, Miss. Regards to you all. D. Alexander.
