Description
This postcard features a black and white image of the two story Clay County courthouse in West Point, Mississippi . The building includes arched windows and doors and a cupola or clock tower in the center of the roof. Trees stand in front of and behind the courthouse, partially obscuring the view. A Vicksburg postmark dated, February 10, 1907, is in the top center of the image. The title of the card is printed in the top right corner beside the image and an inscription is written in the white space beneath the title. The inscription reads, "2/9/07 Hello Jewel, Will soon be home. Hope to find a letter from you. Love to Dickie and Ace. Devote, Toren." The back of the card is addressed to Miss Jewell Davis in Vicksburg, Mississippi. The card is postmarked West Point, Mississippi, February 9, 1907 and a green, one cent Benjamin Franklin postage stamp is in the top right corner of the card.
