Description

This picture postcard features a black and white image of an older man in a dark suit and tie seated on an ornate bench while holding a small child who is wearing a white dress or christening gown. "AJ and Jack" is written in blue ink below the image. The back of the card is addressed to Miss Ethel E. Peck in Los Angeles, California. The card is postmarked Meridian, Mississippi, January 4, 1908 and a green, one cent Benjamin Franklin postage stamp is placed in the upper right corner. An inscription is written on the left half of the card. [see transcription field]

Dear Cousin: Your P/C rced. Thanks. I was sick in bed Christmas day with Grippe but OK now. But have been busy with annual Reports of Shrine Company [?] Chapter and Compliments of the season. Lots of love Andrew J. Pick
