Description

This color image depicts a long driveway lined by trees that leads through a fenced and gated entrance to a white multistory building. A United States Flag flies on a tall pole in front of the building. The back of the card identifies the image as "Entrance to U. S. Veterans Hospital, Fronting Gulf of Mexico, Gulfport, Miss. Fronting the Gulf of Mexico, this hospital houses close to 1,000 patients and over 300 employees. The large grounds are shaded with evergreen live oaks, old and tall, making it one of the most beautiful veteran's homes in the country.
