Description
This postcard features a color illustration of the Elks Home in Aberdeen, Mississippi, a yellow, two story house with a rounded corner front entrance with four, two story white pillars with a wrap around porch and a wrap around second story balcony with white railings and pillars. Two chimney's are depicted on the roof. A bare tree and a utility pole is near the sidewalk on the right corner. The title is printed in the upper left of the image. Aberdeen Lodge No. 620 of the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks was incorporated February 22, 1902. It was located off West Commerce Street in Aberdeen. The back of the card is addressed to Miss E. S. Power in Columbus, Mississippi. the card is postmarked Aberdeen, Miss., October 3, 1906. An inscription is written sideways on the left half of the card. [see transcription field]

I sent you a postal and you never did answer it. Please ma'am do better this time. I hope you have had just the happiest summer in the world and I know you all are going to have a great year over there. Sometimes I'm very lonesome for it all so please miss me a "little now and then". Yours, Vivien [sic]
