Trees and bushes are in front of the building and a card is pictured parked in near the entrance steps. The title of the card is in a white text box near the bottom of the image. The back of the postcard is addressed to Mrs. T. O. Edge in Dallas, Texas. The card is postmarked Gulfport, Mississippi, August 8, 1949 and a green, one cent George Washington postage stamp is placed in the upper right corner of the card. A note is typed on the left half of the card. [see transcription field]
Hello: Thanks for the nice card. Hope you can use this one. Hope you are better now and you are getting more accustomed to your great loss. I know it's hard, but let's hope there'll be brighter days ahead. Sincerely, Mrs. L. R. Sugg [sic]
