Description

This postcard features a black and white image of a three story Baptist church in Okolona, Mississippi. A wide set of steps lead to the second story entrance with four white, two story tall pillar columns across the porch. Dental molding lines the roofline, including the gable above the porch. One tree stands in front of the church and other trees are to the side and behind it. A mid-twentieth century car is parked on the curb to the right of the church. The title of the card is printed within a white textbox in the bottom center of the image. The back of the card is addressed to Mrs. C. W. Parchman in Memphis, Tennessee. The card is postmarked Jackson and Mobile R.P.O., July 10, 1952 and a red, two cent George Washington postage stamp is placed in the upper right corner. An inscription is written sideways on the left half of the card. [see transcription field}
