Description
This black and white picture postcard features a large two story house with several windows. The house is partially obscured by two large trees and trees are beside and behind the house, as well. The handwritten title at the bottom of the card identifies the house as "Gen U. S. Grant's headquarters, Corinth, Miss., War 1861-1865." The back of the postcard identifies the item as a postcard and provides indication for address placement. A green one cent postage stamp is placed in the upper right corner and the card is postmarked three times. The first postmark is Corinth, Mississippi July 6, 1906 and the two other postmarks are Cincinnati, Ohio July 7 and 8, 1906. The card is addressed to Miss Nellie Brand in Cincinnati, Ohio.
