Description
This color postcard features a street with a row of buildings on the right and a streetcar in front. The building on the right corner has a sign wrapped around that reads "The Corner Drug Store." People in early twentieth century clothing are crossing the street. utility poles line the right side of the street. The title in the upper right identifies the scene as "No. 103 West Main Street, Hattiesburg, Miss." The back of the postcard identifies the item as a postcard and provides publisher information as well as indication for correspondence and address placement. A green one cent postage stamp is placed upside down in the upper right corner and the card is postmarked Hattiesburg, Mississippi, August 20, 1910. The card is inscribed and is addressed to Miss Pearl McDerict in Wiggins, Mississippi.

My Dear friend Pearl I recd your card and letter all O.K. I just put your letter I the office. I guess I can't come down Sunday. But if you don't come home tomorrow week I'll come down then. My money is getting sparse and haven't got any job yet. Your friend R [sic] [upside down at the top of the card] [?] am going to send [?] you something nice anyway. Yours R [sic]
