Description

This color postcard features a tall monument with a soldier on top, a woman on the left side of the base and a soldier on the right side of the base. 1861-1865 is engraved on the front of the base. The monument is beside a three story red brick building and trees are behind it. The title along the top of the card identifies the scene as "Confederate Monument in Court House Square, Hattiesburg, Miss." The back of the postcard identifies the item as a postcard and provides indication for postage stamp placement.
